Wilbarston Bells
A project to restore the bells of All Saints' Church
Welcome to our website.

The village of Wilbarston it situated in rural Northamptonshire around 20 miles from the county town of Northampton.

For many centuries the church of All Saints' has stood on the edge of the village overlooking the beautiful Welland Valley.

The church has seen many events over the years and still forms an active part of the village community. The handsome spire houses five bells, which are hung for full circle ringing in the English style.

The bells are not easy to ring with many of the parts now over 130 years old (these don't last much more than 100 years). The bell ringers have therefore taken the big decision to restore the bells back to their former glory, leaving a legacy for the church, the village and future generations.

How are we doing?
We have the daunting sum of £32,000 to raise for the complete project so every penny counts.

A big thank you to everyone who has helped us reach the current amount.
£30,700 (94% of target) - 17/11/17
Charity gifts help bring our target in to sight
Tower Captain, Peter Chilton, has been burning the midnight oil over the past few months applying to various chartiable bodies to see if they would be willing to support out project.

All this hard work has payed off with thee donation comming in over the past couple of weeks.

The project would like to thank the generosity of:

These donations have helped boost the fund by over £5,000
Siobhan's efforts help the project get nearer to the finish line
Siobhan, one of our ringers, took part in the Leicester half marathon on October 15th in aid of the project.

Following a sterling effort she crossed the finishing line, raising £1,000 for the project in the process.
